There's a way to be stylish while being Green and we've found it!

Avonite has gone GREEN by adhering to the principles of sustainable design- the art of designing and constructing physical objects, in this case, countertops with the style and durability expected from solid surface, while reducing the negative impacts on the environment. Avonite's Recycled Studio Collection includes eight designer patterns that each contains a minimum of 40% recycled content.

Having achieved  Certification in 2005, these color options can be specified for your Green project with confidence.

Corian® also uses recycled content in their New Terra Collection!

 More About Being "Green":

 What is LEED?

LEED stands for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design".  LEED uses a national standard rating system to encourage, support, and validate green building design.

Who developed LEED?

The LEED rating system was developed by a non-profit organization known as the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

What does LEED mean to you?

Not only does being green have a positive impact on the environment by producing less waste, including a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, it also has a positive impact on an individual level.  This translates into lower energy and water bills, as well as, fewer problems with mold, mildew, and other indoor toxins.
