Postform Countertops
Available in 100s of colors from five different laminate companies. Formica, Wilsonart, Arborite, Pionite, Nevamar.
We get these premade blanks up to 12' in length from our postform countertop maker, Prestolam. Depending on the color the customer should get there countertop from 3 to 5 days to 3 to 4 weeks.
These postform tops are cut to length with our postform saw here in the shop. We charge per L.F. for these tops and the cost depends on what finish category the color falls into. Standard price group consists of matte and gloss finishes. Premium price group includes finishes such as honed, etchings, quarry. etc. The 3rd price group is High Definition and includes 35 and 45 finishes only.
Postform top are usually the most cost effective of the countertops we offer. You can change the edge profile for an up charge as well. We offer 6 different edge styles in Postform.
The information we need to order or quote this kind of kitchen is:
- A Drawing of the countertop (s)
- Postform edge style (most of the time we order the "Futurist Edge, also know as 290, E300 or Innovation)
- Color and finish
Usually these orders are straight forward and simple to quote. But the customer can change some aspects of this top for a premium. Shads does not template or install Postform countertops.

Shad's Custom Countertops, INC. now stocks 24 Futurist (290) edge postform countertops. Stocked in 22 1/2" vanity, 25 1/8" kitchen, 26 and 36" bar tops.
